The School of Christ
Our Purpose: To provide resources for the body of Christ to encourage and instruct concerning our spiritual journey – to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, lived out in spiritual family gatherings where Christ is head.
The contrast of Institutional structures with the biblical Ekklesia is a major focus of this material. We are encouraged and directed to follow the ways of the apostles of Christ. Acts 2:42
We devote much of our work to apostolic teaching, traditions, fellowship in the breaking of bread and prayer. We welcome all who have been made new through the redemptive work of Christ to partner with us in this endeavour to restore the biblical Ekklesia.
“Christ is a prerequisite for us to do church.” Bill Furioso
Without a revelation of Christ, the caliber of our lives as followers of Jesus will have little impact on the world. We must go past the elementary principles of Christ unto full stature. That is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto the image of His death. Phil. 3:10,11 Hebrews 6:1,2.
Israel of old failed in their journey often, and in the end they were judged by God. This judgment resulted in them going into Babylon for seventy years. After the 70 years the LORD said he would restore the people back to the land. The book Nehemiah is written about this returning and rebuilding of what was ruined.
We are the same kind of people who have come out of a spiritual Babylon. We are likened unto those in the book of Nehemiah who desire to restore what has been ruined through man-made-traditions usurping Christ over his people.
To God, only wise, be honour and glory for all that He is doing!
